There are eleven different veneers laid on three substrates. The three substrates are 17mm MR MDF, 19mm HMR Particleboard and thin 3mm MDF for backing.
Wood veneers offer warmth, beauty and individuality of natural timber and are considered the premium decorative finish for quality furniture and joinery applications. As well as being an economical alternative to solid timber, veneered panels are more appropriate because they are more resistant to environmental factors. Today's high quality substrates are extremely stable under all conditions and resistant to varying humidity and the effects of air conditioning. Therefore, in contrast to solid timber, movement and cracking of veneered products is minimised.
